We were recently asked if we would like to review a toy set for Little Goat Gruff.
As soon as we saw the Spaceman themed wooden playset from The Toy Workshop we knew that it would be a toy that the twins would enjoy playing with.
We do love the traditional style, wooden toys. The way the the traditional goes with the spaceman theme was a great hit!
The figures, which have an average size of 3 inches/7.6 cms, come is a good quality net drawstring bag. In the past when the twins have had toys that have come in net bags the bags have not lasted 5 minutes. However, this bag, is still going strong despite the yanks and pulls from their little hands!
As soon as they saw the lovely little net bag they couldn't wait to see what treasures it held!
They were soon whizzing around the room making whooshing noises as they flew the spaceship and rocket above their heads.
For a mum of twins this is a great playset as it contains 2 spacemen, 2 rockets/spaceships and 2 planets. The only single figure is the alien but to be honest, we have had no arguments or tears over it as there are the other figures!
The wooden figures are of a high quality that are painted on both sides using child friendly paint and sealer so there are no worries that they are going to get chewed on every now and then! They are the perfect size for little hands but are not small enough to be a chocking hazard.
The figures have encouraged imaginative play with the twins and they are already one of their favourite toys.
Little Goat Gruff are an online company who sell baby and toddler clothes, toys and more. Their clothes and toys are items which are different from which you will find on the High Street which really does appeal to us. I have seen quite a few items that we love and are fans of the vintage toys that they stock!

ReplyDeleteMy little boy would love those, he is really into little figures at the moment, and the space theme would be a big hit!
ReplyDeleteI'm all for more traditional toys and less plastic but there doesn't really seem to be much to this for the money? You could make card cutouts instead? Might be good for a story sack though :(
