Hello and welcome to week 35 of MealPlanningMonday and the final week of the summer holidays!
Yes, I am celebrating the end of the summer holidays! They have seemed so long and the last couple of weeks have dragged. But we are ending the holidays on a high as we have the hubby home with us and a busy week planned so there are not too many meals to plan for but a lot of pre planning for the return to work and school. I return back to work a week today, then the twins go back on the Tuesday followed by J and the hubby on Wednesday.
This is what we have got planned this week...
Week Commencing 28th August 2017
Monday - BBQ
Yay it is going to be a hot and sunny bank holiday, which does not seem to happen very often. Naturally we have got a BBQ planned. I will be making burgers and the hubby will be barbecuing chicken, salmon and sausages.
Tuesday and Wednesday
On Tuesday and Wednesday we have got a couple of days out planned with my sister in law. They will be days full of walking and letting the kids run off lots of energy. No doubt we will be eating out at some point too.
Thursday
On Thursday we are meeting my other sister in law at Harlow Carr so will definitely be having some cake from Betty's. As for our evening meal we will probably pick something up on our way home, probably a meal for £10 from Marks and Sparks!
Friday - Pasta
Friday is going to be a busy day catching up on washing, house work, collecting the dogs and shopping so am planning to get some fresh pasta, garlic bread and pasta. A quick, easy yet delicious meal.
Saturday - Moroccan Beef and Couscous
This is a recipe that the hubby found in one of his cycling magazines and one that I had planned to make last weekend but did not end up making.
Sunday - Roast
On Sunday we are going to my mum and dads for a lovely roast dinner!
