A smile has so much power without us actually realising it. Giving a smile can change someones day, a smile can show someone you care, a smile can even make you feel better. A smile can encourage, a smile can comfort and a smile can fill you with happiness.

To mark Smile Powder Day 2015 a Smile Survey was conducted to see what makes us smile. 1000 people across the UK were asked "What makes you smile?" this is what the results were...

- 7.4% said "My children"
- 5% said "Sunshine"
- 4.6% said "My family"
- 4.2% said "Comedy"
- 3.9% said "Food"
Men
- 6% of men said "Comedy"
Women
- 13.4% of women said "My children"
Age
- 18-24 year olds 6.8% said "Family"
- 25-34 year olds 12.1% said "My children"
- 35-44 year olds 13.8% said "My children"
- 45-54 year olds 9.3% said "Comedy"
- 55-64 year olds 9.8% said "Sunshine"
- 65+ year olds 8.6% said "Grandchildren"
In England
- 7.6% said "My children"
- 21.1% said "My children"
In Scotland
- 7.2% said "Sunshine "
In Northern Ireland
- 17.6% said "Life "
