November Degustabox

As you probably know, I love it when the postman comes with my monthly Degustabox. I always enjoy the excitement of opening the box to discover that delicious foodie treats I have received this month.

This months Degustabox was full of delights as you can see below. Let me tell you a bit more about the foodie treats I received...

1: Belvita Soft Bakes - New Belvita Soft Bakes come in three different varieties, Golden Grain, Red Berries and Chocolate Chips. I received a box of Red Berries Soft Bakes, each box contains 5 Soft Bakes which are a delicious blend between a biscuit and a cake. They are full of wholegrain and cereals. They even offer a great source of fibre, vitamins B6, magnesium and iron.

2: Butterkist - Popcorn, who doesn't love popcorn! Butterkist have brought out two new flavours, Salted Caramel and Sweet and Salted. Many modern flavours combine the sweet with the savoury creating new flavour sensations and I love them! The flavours are perfectly balanced and this popcorn will not disappoint!

3: JimJams Gluten Free Hazelnut Chocolate Spread - Oh wow this spread is so good! Not only is it delicious but it is also gluten free and contains no added sugar. Therefore it must be a guilt free treat! I used this spread to decorate my Gluten Free Spiced Chocolate Cake.

4: Nim's Fruit Crisps - These are multi award winning, 100% fruit crisps that will keep you wanting more. They are free from additives and preservatives, contain no fat, dairy or gluten. One bag has been certified as 1 of your 5 a day. As they have been air dried and not fried the pineapple and mango pieces have retained all of the goodness of fibre and vitamin C. They really are a delicious, sweet alternative to fatty crisps.

5: Branston Orchard Fruit Chutney - Branston Orchard Fruit Chutney is perfect for Christmas day leftovers. This chutney is packed with brambly apples blended with sultanas, orange zest and spices to create a unique flavour. I just know that it will be the ideal topping for leftover turkey sandwiches!

6: Hartley's Jelly - This new jelly is perfect for the festive season, in fact it is perfect for any party season. Hartley's Black Cherry Jelly is perfect for Black Forest trifles while their glitter jelly will turn any jelly treat into a showstopping jelly!

7: Divine Chocolate - Divine is not only a divine tasting chocolate but it is also a chocolate brand who give back. Kuapa Kokoo is the co-operative of small holder farmers in Ghana who supply Divine the cocoa and they actually own 44% of the company. All of their chocolate is fair trade, natural, suitable for vegetarians and free from palm oil and not to mention absolutely melt in the mouth good!

8: Food Thoughts Organic Cocoa - Food for Thoughts is another fair trade product that is 100% organic. I have used this cocoa in baking and it really does make lovely chocolate cakes! I used it in my Gluten Free Spiced Chocolate Cake.

9: Holy Lama Spice Drops - Holy Lama have created concentrated extracts of herbs and spices to give any drink the festive touch! It is vegan, gluten free and made in a socially responsible family business. This will also add great flavours to any Christmas bakes!

10: Baileys - For me, Baileys screams Christmas. It is one of the drinks that we always get. But Baileys is also great to add to sweet sauces and to give your coffee a good kick!

11: Ryvita Green and Black Olive Crackers - Ryvita have done it again, they have created another healthy cracker to add to their list. These crackers come in handy individual packs of 6 crackers. One thing that I find with big packs of crackers is that they get opened, then forgotten, then they go soft and are thrown away. But with these individual packs that is one problem that you do not have. They are the perfect lunch topped with cottage cheese and a slice of smoked salmon.

12: Bourne and Wallis - Beetroot is an essential part of a buffet at Christmas. Bourne and Wallis have a range of contemporary tasting pickles that come from traditional Victorian recipes of preserving. They only use naturally grown, locally sourced vegetables, herbs, spices and fine traditional vinegars.

13: Ryvita Thins - Another new biscuit snack from Ryvita are their Thins which are perfect for dips. I received a box of Cheddar and Cracked Black Pepper flatbreads. They are the perfect accompaniment for houmous. I will warn you, they are very moreish!

14: Teisseire Drops - These little pots of flavoured drops make your normal coffee into something really special! They are concentrated so only a little is needed to add that extra flavour. They really do make your hot, cold or alcoholic drinks a bit different and give them a French flair. I am even curious about baking with them, so once I have tried it I will definitely let you know how I get on!

Last but certainly not least was a bottle of Rekorderlig Dry Apple Cider. This cider has a perfect, crisp clean flavour that is so refreshing! If you like a good quality cider then this drink is for you!
