2nd July - 8th July 2016 One Picture Everyday For One Week

It is that time of week again. It is time for me to show you my week in pictures. This week has been a busy one. Last weekend I was struck down with the dreaded cold bug that the children had so the weekend went by in a daze of sleeping and sniffles. On Tuesday it was the Hubby's birthday, on Wednesday I was in London until late then on Thursday the Hubby had the day at home. So with all of this the week has flown by! Now it is the weekend and I am well and truly ready for a relaxing one.

Here is my week in pictures...

18th June - 1st July 2016 - One Picture Everyday For One Year

Last weekend I was busy in London for BritMums Live hence the lack of Project 366 post. So this week I am writing a two week round up.

The last two weeks have seen food, homegrown fruit, time in London, and some great products to review. Here are my two weeks in pictures...

11th June - 17th June 2016 - One Picture Everyday For One Year

Another week done and I am another year older. This week has been a funny week, not funny ha ha but funny odd, if that makes sense. My moods have been really up and down again, but mainly down and I do not know why. My motivation has been quite low and I have been having trouble sleeping so I feel like this week has sort of gone by in a bit of a sleepy daze through the day then awake at night. For the first time this year I actually forgot to take a picture! But I did have a picture that I edited for a blog post on for that day, I know it is cheating but it was all that I had, whoops!

Anyway, this week has seen gin, me turn a year older, cake, flowers and train tickets!

Saturday 11th June 2016

Saturday was World Gin Day so it would have been rude to not join in! I toasted World Gin Day with an aptly named Kirsty's Gin from Arbikie, this was one of the gin's that I brought back from our holiday in Scotland and has become a true favourite!

Sunday 12th June 2016

While I was in the garden on Sunday I spotted this busy bee collecting nectar from our lovely Foxgloves.

5th June - 10th June 2016 - One Picture Every Week For One Year

This week has seen the children return to school and us get back into our regular routine after our holidays. It has been an exhausting week, with muggy nights combined with early morning we have been wiped out. But we have got through and another week has flown by!

Here is my week in pictures...

Sunday 5th June 2016

On Sunday we arrived home after our holiday. We had a good journey and it was lovely to be back home! While going through the post that had arrived while we were away I was pleased to find my new Jamberry cards and note book!

Monday 6th June 2016

While we were in Scotland we had haggis which we already love but were delighted to find that the twins also love it. On the way home on the Saturday we called into Gretna Green and while we were there I bought a haggis to bring home so that was Monday nights meal, haggis, neeps and tatties!

14th May - 20th May 2016 - One Picture Everyday For One Year

What a week! It seems to have been so busy and gone by in lightening speed. It has been an exciting week with regard to work prospects and a bit of a lazy week in the kitchen for a change.

Here is my week in pictures...

Saturday 14th May 2016

Saturday was just a regular sort of Saturday. I took little I to ballet in the morning then just pottered around at home. I did make this delicious gluten free cake which will be part of a review post that will be written next week.

Sunday 15th May 2016

On Sunday I took a bit of a leap of faith which I have surprised myself with. I decided to join the Jamberry team. I am now an independent consultant! I fell in love with the product after trying them so decided to go into business selling them. I am awful at painting my nails so I love being able to have beautiful nails all the time! I have even started a second blog about my journey and to tell everyone about the product!

7th May - 13th May 2016 - One Picture Everyday For One Year

Hooray this week is over!

J is in year 6 so this week he had his SATS. At the beginning of the week I thought that I was more worried for him than he was. But as the week went on I could see that the pressure was in fact getting to him. By Thursday I was relieved that they were over and done with.

This week has seen a lot of outdoor pictures. We have enjoyed meals outside and it is lovely seeing the flowers in the garden showing their colours.

Here is my week in pictures...

Saturday 7th May 2016

Saturday was a beautiful day so we just had to have a barbecue! I made a delicious potato salad which made the perfect side dish!

Sunday 8th May 2016

As Sunday was another glorious day we made the most of it by eating outside again. My mother in law came over so that barbecue was used again! I used the Panasonic Slow Juicer to make this strawberry and banana ice cream and filled some oyster shell wafers with it.

30th April - 6th May 2016 - One Picture Everyday For One Year

This week it has been lovely to enjoy the sunshine. It finally feels like winter has gone. This week has been a quick week thanks to the bank holiday Monday, it has flown by. This week I finally got my hotel booked for BritMums live next month which has started the excitement for the conference. Last year was my first year attending and I loved it. I am hoping that this year will be just as good, if not better!

This week has seen us watch the Tour de Yorkshire, a meal out, lots of yummy food and some pretty new nails!

Here is my week in pictures...

Saturday 30th April 2016

The hubby loves cycling so when we found out that the Tour de Yorkshire was having a finishing line in Doncaster we planned to visit. We managed to avoid most of the rain and hail stones and watched the riders head up to the finishing stretch. The kids loved waiting for the bikes and watching the police motorbikes going past. It was fun to see, albeit quick, but something we might not see again! We were even able to spot ourselves on the television highlights in the evening.

Sunday 1st May 2016

Sunday was a day in the garden for the hubby and time in the kitchen for me. This is a meal which I am planning to write about. Instead of a regular roast I made chicken breasts on a bed of leeks in a white wine sauce.

23rd April - 29th April 2016 - One Picture Everyday For One Week

What a great week I have had. I have actually felt like me again which is lovely. I have enjoyed going out, walking the kids to school, walking the dogs and even baking! Fingers crossed my medication has now settled down and this is a sign of the future!

This week has seen walks, food and a busy hubby! This is my week in pictures...

Saturday 23rd April 2016

On Saturday the hubby was busy all day laying a new patio area in the garden. I am always amazed and proud of all the work he does outside in the garden, he does a great job. After such a wet winter and with the dogs running up and down the grass in the first section of our garden has worn away hence why we wanted a patio area. While the hubby was busy I had fun in the kitchen baking!

9th April - 22nd April 2016 - One Picture Everyday For One Year

You will notice that this week I have written a two week summary. I was almost ready to publish my post last Saturday. That was until disaster struck! Last Saturday, which was also our 5th wedding anniversary, ended up being a complete nightmare of a day. I will explain more when I get to the day.

These last two weeks have seen a holiday booked, foodie pictures, sunny walks and a home disaster!

Here are my two weeks in pictures...

Saturday 9th April 2016

Ever since the twins watched the SpongeBob Square Pants movie they have been asking, non stop, for krabby patties. So on Saturday I made homemade burgers and called them krabby patties. They were a huge success! On Saturday we booked a holiday for the next school holiday up in Scotland.

Sunday 10th April 2016

When I was writing my meal plan on Sunday and looking through my cook books I noticed this quote in Deliciously Ella's Everyday and I love it! I can relate to this so much, if I am hungry I am tired and such a grump!

2nd April - 8th April 2016 - One Picture Everyday For One Year

Wow this week has flown by! We have been enjoying some lazy mornings this week and even had the hubby take an extra day off work. I have had a few busy work days and we have enjoyed a couple of trips out.

This week has seen a lot of foodie pictures, some girlie time and family walks.

Here is my week in pictures...

Saturday 2nd April 2016

On Saturday, I will admit that I did not get a picture taken! So I am using one of the hubby's! On Saturday we went plant shopping and he made these two pots of bedding plants and lavender.

Sunday 3rd April 2016

On Sunday we went out for a lovely sunny walk with the dogs. This is something which, now the weather is getting better, we are going to do each weekend. It gives the dogs a good walk but also gets us out together as a family.

26th March - 1st April 2016 - One Picture Everyday For One Year

This week I am a little later with my Project366 post, last week was manic. The children are on their Easter holidays from school so getting time to sit and write is proving a little difficult! But on we plod! Last week we finally saw some lovely days and the children have enjoyed being able to go out in the garden to play. Fingers crossed we have more days like that next week!

Here is my week in pictures...

Saturday 26th March 2016

On Saturday we spent the day at my mother in laws and enjoyed a delicious Easter lamb dinner. While we were there I discovered that I have been nominated for The MADS best food blog! To say I was gob smacked is an understatement. I haven't written a post about the awards so this was a real surprise!

19th March - 25th March 2016 - One Picture Everyday for One Year

This week has been such a long week and one that I am pleased is over. The children have got more and more tired as the week has gone on. I can tell that they are ready for the Easter break. Towards the end of the week things started getting back into a routine, which has been good.

This week has seen a heartbreaking day, a meal out, signs of spring and food!

Here is my week in pictures...

Saturday 19th March 2016

On Saturday when we popped out to Tesco the three children loved taking part in their Easter egg hunt challenge. They were over the moon with their Easter bag of treats!

12th March - 18th March 2016 - One Picture Everyday for One Week

This week has been a strange week. The days have sort of mingled together. The hubby has been at home so we have both been out of routine but it has been nice and a bit of down time was needed. But from Thursday my work head was back on and looking towards the future.

This week has seen a lot of cooking, a coffee date, time with the hubby and a day out in London!

Here is my week in pictures..

Saturday 12th March 2016

I feel honoured to have been approached by the Children's Food Trust and asked to promote their Big Cookathon that is being run on 22nd April until 25th April. The Big Cookathon is being run to promote more families to cook from scratch at home. I made the vegetarian dish on Saturday and will be writing more about it next week.

Sunday 13th March 2016

The only pictures that I took on Sunday were of review products. These delicious raw bites from Bioglan will be on my shopping list from now on!

5th March - 11th March 2016 - One Picture Everyday for One Year

This week has been a hard week. It has been full of worry and upset. The week seems to have gone on forever. I have had a few days away from my blog to have time with my hubby and reflect on life in general. To be completely honest as I write this post I simply cannot think what else has happened during the week but I am sure that the pictures will prompt memories.

Here is our week in pictures...

Saturday 5th March 2016

When Mother's Day comes round the hubby always buys me a little treat. This year I got this lovely bottle of gin!

27th February - 4th March 2016 - One Picture Everyday For One Year

This week has been a tough one. I have had my medication for depression changed yet again. Thankfully the new one seems, so far, better than the last.

This week has seen a lazy weekend, a tea party, cake, flowers and walks through puddles. This is my week in pictures...

Saturday 27th February 2016

On Saturday I managed to have some crochet time which was lovely. I got behind a few days with my sky blanket but now I am almost caught up.

20th February - 27th February 2016 - One Picture Everyday For One Year

Last week I posted my Project366 a little earlier as we were celebrating the twins birthday last Saturday. This week I am going to post Saturday to Friday again. I have found this to be an easier way to post my project366. Doing it this way has allowed me more time with my family and less time on the laptop.

This week has been a tough week but I am hopeful that it is the start of things getting more positive. Here is my week in pictures...

Saturday 20th February 2016

Saturday was the twins birthday! They turned four, my babies are now four! For their birthday we enjoyed a family meal celebrating. I will be telling you all about our lunch out next week so keep an eye out for that!

Sunday 21st February 2016

On Sunday we had another birthday meal at my mum and dads. They loved getting a second birthday cake and blowing the candles out again.

Monday 22nd February 2016

I love seeing the twins interact together and on Monday they were so loving to each other I simply had to capture it. Taylor was snuggled up with Isabella watching her play on her Kindle. They played lovely all afternoon, which these days, is a rarity!

Tuesday 23rd February 2016

Tuesday was one of the days I do not look forward to in the year. Tuesday marked the fourth anniversary of loosing my Nanna.

Wednesday 24th February 2016

On Wednesday I had an appointment with the doctor. My moods and depression has been bad again so I went to see someone about it. My medication is in the process of being changed, with this, I am hoping to see a difference.

Thursday 25th February 2016

On Thursday I was busy taking photographs outside while it was lovely and sunny and I noticed this feather. I know it is just a bird feather but I do like the saying that an angel was near by.

Friday 26th February 2016

On Friday I went shopping to by some products in preparation of fair trade fortnight and when I saw these beautiful fair trade roses in Aldi I simply could not refuse them. Flowers for a blog post, why not!

14th February - 19th February 2016 - One Picture Everyday for One Year

This weeks round up is a day shorter because today is the twins fourth birthday and as you can imagine our day will be busy! So next weeks round up will be a day longer.

This week has been half term and has been a manic week. But we have enjoyed some lovely lazy mornings and some trips out and about.

Here is our week in pictures...

Sunday 14th February 2016

On Sunday I decided to try on a shirt dress that I picked up in the sales just before Christmas. It was reduced down from £45 to £4.50 as it was the last one and a bargain like that could not be missed! I got a size 14 but when I got it home it simply would not fit. This was when I realised how much weight I had put on. On Sunday I decided to try it on and was amazed that it fitted and it anything it was a little bit big!

7th February - 13th February 2016 - One Picture Everyday For One Year

I am pleased to say that we have now completed the first half term of 2016. This week has had some very cold mornings that I am not going to miss going out in next week! This week has been a busy week with regard to foodie posts. We have had the Chinese new year, pancake day and tomorrow is Valentines day. I do enjoy having foodie weeks like this week!

This week has seen two new arrivals to the Hijacked By Twins household, lots of pet pictures and a hurdle crossed!

Here is my week in pictures...

Sunday 7th February 2016

On Sunday a trip to our local Pets at Home for a harness for one of the dogs resulted in us coming home with a new hamster for Joseph and two bunny rabbits! The Hubby knows that I have always wanted a rabbit, from being a child to now. He also knows that recently my moods have not been great and I have been very up and down again. So when he saw me admiring the rabbits he asked me if I wanted two. I did, but to stop me feeling guilty I suggested that they be part of the twins birthday presents as they loved them. So meet Yoda, Taylor's rabbit on the left and Elsa, Isabella's rabbit on the right.

31st January - 6th February 2016 - One Picture Everyday For One Year

This week has been a bit of a funny week. My mood has not been great due to running out of my regular tablets and having to double up on some old ones it really did knock me a bit. To say that I am pleased that the week is over is a bit of an understatement. Now on to a new week and a better week!

This week there has been foodie pictures, exciting holiday plans and the heart warming twins.

Here is my week in pictures...

Sunday 31st January 2016

Sunday was our usual relax and potter about day. On Sunday I thought that I would plan a few posts but when I got to this page I found that a little someone, Isabella, had added some plans of her own.

Monday 1st February 2016

You may remember that I mentioned that I tried having a cleaner, vegan week last week. Well I am delighted to say that it has continued on! I am not going to be 100% vegan as I do like cheese and eggs but I have not missed meat so am not eating it at the moment. On Monday I decided to make the twins some baked beans instead of using a tin of beans. My Full of Goodness Baked Beans were a success and will definitely be enjoyed again.

Tuesday 2nd February 2016

On Tuesday Laura from Tired Mummy of Two, who are Carnival's Funseeker Family, informed us that there are under 200 days to go until we set sail on their new ship Vista. This got the holiday excitement going so I sat and looked at all of the different excursions. I am in a process of writing an excursions post but it is taking me longer than I thought to select a few favourites!

Wednesday 3rd February 2016

To get the holiday excitement going even more, Wednesday was time to go and get the twins their first passport photographs taken.

Thursday 4th February 2016

Thursday was a dark day. I will admit that I even struggled to get motivated to get dress and do the school run. But I did push myself and even walked the school run. I am pleased to say that days like Thursday are few and far between these days but when they do hit I really do notice and I remember that the depression and anxiety is never far away.

Friday 5th February 2016

On Friday the twins enjoyed trying these delicious new snacks from Cow and Gate.

Saturday 6th February 2016

On Saturday if felt like we did not stop all day. It was manic! After a visit to see the Hubby's mum and dad we went to my mum and dads to celebrate my lovely nieces 3rd birthday. She is such a little treasure and the twins love playing with her.

As always I am sharing with...
