Gourmet Food Combined With Poker

To celebrate the start of the new UK and Ireland Poker Tour season, PokerStars have joined forces with Jones & Sons, the classic British restaurant and cocktail bar in London, to create a night out with a difference. Uniting gourmet food and poker the "All-In One Kitchen" was born.

The "All-In-One" Kitchen is a world first. In this restaurant the amount that you pay for your meal is determined by what you win. You simply pay £10 to play 3 hands of poker and what you have left at the end is what you pay for your meal. It is as simple as that. You may be wondering what happens if you loose. Well if you are like me and have never played a hand of poker before and would be a complete beginner, even if you loose everything you still get a delicious 3 course gourmet meal and cocktail worth £50!

It really is a no loose night out!

The gourmet menu is full of poker inspired dishes including:

• Royal Flush of King Crab Thermador
• Queen Scallops accompanied by Salt Baked Swede and Bacon Marmalade
• 4 of a Kind Lamb Chops, Rump, Kidney and Shoulder with a Rosemary Jus
• 2 Pair of Pear Tarte Tartin, Pear Caramel and Ice Cream

Gourmet food and a game of poker sounds like fun.

What I find incredibly appealing about a night out at the "All-In One" Kitchen is that the event is purely for fun. No money is wagered during the poker games at the event and the poker is optional. If you want to experience the atmosphere but not play you can. You simply pay the full, original price of the meal, £50, and enjoy. Or why not have a go and pay just £10 for the first 3 hands, have a bit of fun, enjoy the experience and have a delicious gourmet meal!

This would be an ideal night out for the hubby and I. The combination of gourmet food and poker. I myself am not a poker player and will admit to not even knowing how to play. However the hubby does like to play and often suggests poker when we play cards. The information below will help me in the future to play and maybe even win!

1. Royal Flush - Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10 all of the same suit
2. Straight Flush - A running sequence all of the same suit
3. 4 of a Kind - 4 cards of the same ranks
4. Full House - 3 of a kind with a pair
5. Flush - Any 5 cards of the same suit
6. Straight - 5 cards in sequence but not the same suit
7. 3 of a Kind - 3 cards of the same rank
8. 2 of a Pair - 2 separate pairs
9. Pair - 2 cards of the same rank
10. High Card - Unrelated card ranked by the highest single card
