Like a lot of 10 year old children Joseph is Skylanders mad!
When he heard that a fourth Skylanders game was being released it was immediately put onto his Christmas wish list. However, little did Joseph know, he would not have to wait until Christmas as we here being sent a started pack to review!
When Joseph opened up the parcel his face was a picture and he immediately ran off to go and play.
So what is different about this Skylanders game? Well the description of the game is:
Kaos has blown up the walls of the feared Cloudcracker Prison freeing the most notorious villains in Skylands! It's up to you and the Skylanders to find and capture them. Using Traptanium, a magical material that can harness the power of the elements, you have the amazing ability to trap the villains and return them to Skylands to fight for you! Begin the ultimate adventure as you explore Skylands in search of the escaped villains!
The

Like all of the previous Skylanders games this has been a huge success with Joseph. The only downside, for us parents, is that there are so many new Skylanders characters and traps to buy for the game. Joseph has collected Skylanders for each of the games so far. My only recommendation for Activision would be to make all of the previous Skylanders figures compatible with the new games that come out. This game provides endless hours of entertainment as you collect the various Skylanders the game changes as you achieve and complete the levels.
If you have a gaming mad child they will love to find the new Skylanders Trap Team waiting for them on Christmas morning. That is why I am adding this game to my must have Christmas 2014 list which will be published over the next week so keep an eye out for more Christmas ideas!
Disclosure: I was sent a Skylanders Trap Team starter pack for the purpose of this post. No payment was received. All views and opinions are my own and 100% honest.
My kids are too young for this, though I've heard of Skylanders. It does look really good, and Joseph looks so pleased with it :)
ReplyDeleteMy two are too young for this too at the moment but my eldest loves imaginative play and wants every accessory available for her choice - My Little Pony! But I do have to agree with you - it's such a shame when new models aren't compatible with previous characters in a series. Lovely review.
ReplyDeleteMine are not into Skylanders but what I've heard seems really good x
ReplyDeleteI can see why you boy loves it so much. Lovely review and really good suggestion to Activision too! #triedtested
